There is a fairy cave on the mountain. The Eight Immortals once lived and practiced here. The fishermen under Zhaobao Mountain were poor and sick and had no money for treatment. The Eight Immortals were compassionate and helped the world to help the poor. Then they gathered the power of everyone to dig a well. Every ordinary person can drink the water from the well to prolong his life, and the sick can drink the water from the well to heal the disease. Later generations called this well the immortal well.

Later, at the invitation of Baiyunxian, to participate in the grand opening of peony flowers on Penglai Fairy Island. The Eight Immortals left this cave and crossed the sea. On the way, they clashed with the son of the Dragon King of the East China Sea. They all showed their magical powers. The Eight Immortals defeated the son of the Dragon King and crossed the sea smoothly.

At this critical moment, a red light suddenly flashed, and a woman in red dress appeared in front of the son of the Dragon King, calling herself Mazu, and persuading the son of the Dragon King to stop. The son of the Dragon King not only didn't listen, but wanted to eat Mazu. So Mazu walked the way for the sky, cut off its dragon head, and petrified it next to the Immortal Well.

Later generations thanked the Eight Immortals and Mazu for their kindness, and built portraits of the Eight Immortals and Mazu in this cave for the admiration of the world.

Nowadays, every tourist visiting Zhaobao Mountain must come to this cave on the mountainside on the east side of Zhaobao. The Mazu Pavilion at the entrance of the cave enshrines the statue of Mazu with gold, which is majestic and solemn.
